Pueblo, CO: Public health officials have notified the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office that there is an outbreak of COVID-19 at the Pueblo County Jail. Sheriff Kirk M. Taylor was notified Monday by the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment of the outbreak status after it was determined there have been at least two or more confirmed cases of COVID-19 during a 14-day period. To date, there are 12 sheriff’s employees, which includes contract employees, and four inmates that have tested positive for COVID-19. All those who have tested positive are in isolation and anyone who was in close contact with them is in quarantine.
