Unified Vaccination Program Taking Vaccines Out into Community

PUEBLO, CO. – Pueblo County’s Unified COVID-19 community vaccination program, organized by the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office and the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment, continues to administer vaccines in the community and is expected to dispense hundreds more this week as part of mobile clinics being scheduled throughout the community. Pueblo’s community clinic organizers had been operating the mass community clinic at the Pueblo Mall until the State of Colorado took over operations on March 22 and moved the clinic to the Colorado State Fairgrounds. Local planners from the Sheriff’s Office and PDPHE shifted from the large-scale mass vaccination site to smaller, target clinics in the community in an effort to more efficiently vaccinate residents.
