Biography
Undersheriff Steve Bryant started his career with the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office as a volunteer member of the Sheriff’s Posse in 1984 and was hired by the office as a medical officer in the Detention Bureau in 1986. He has over thirty-eight years of experience within the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office. He was promoted to the Law Enforcement Bureau in 1995 where he served as a D.A.R.E. Officer, and a member of the SWAT Team. Undersheriff Bryant’s tour of duties have also included the following: ten years as a Detective, fifteen years as a SWAT Team Member, four of which as the SWAT Commander, seventeen years in the Patrol Bureau, and two years in the Emergency Services Bureau.
Undersheriff Bryant is a recognized expert in the 10th Judicial District in computer and cell phone forensics. He has vast experience in the Patrol division, the SWAT Team, and he spear-headed the development of the Sheriff’s Office S.O.A.R.R. Team, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) unit. Undersheriff Bryant has enhanced skills in emergency response, decision-making, public communication, ethics, and empathy. He is passionate about serving the community and the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office.
